Forwarding & Filtering
This folder contains windows for Unicast Forwarding and Multicast Forwarding.

Unicast Forwarding

To view this window, Click L2 Features > Forwarding & Filtering > Unicast Forwarding:
To add or edit an entry, define the following parameters and then click Add/Modify:
Parameter
VLAN Name
VLAN ID (1-4094)
MAC Address
Drop / Port
Click Apply to implement the changes made. The new entries will be displayed on the Unicast Forwarding Table on
the bottom half of the screen.

Multicast Forwarding

The following figure and table describe how to set up Multicast Forwarding on the Switch. To view this window click
L2 Features > Forwarding & Filtering > Multicast Forwarding:
The following parameters can be set:
Parameter
VID
Multicast MAC
Address

Description
The VLAN Name to be associated with the subnet.
The VLAN ID number of the VLAN on which the above Unicast MAC address resides.
The MAC address to which packets will be statically forwarded. This must be a unicast
MAC address.
Select Drop to drop the MAC address, or select Port and enter the port number on which
the MAC address entered above resides.

Description
The VLAN ID of the VLAN to which the corresponding MAC address belongs.
The MAC address of the static source of multicast packets. This must be a multicast MAC
address.
