INSTALLING THE CRANKSHAFT
ASSEMBLY AND BALANCER SHAFT
ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
• crankshaft assembly
• balancer shaft assembly
NOTE:
_
Align the punch mark a in the balancer drive
gear with the punch mark b in the balancer
driven gear.

ASSEMBLING THE CRANKCASE

1. Thoroughly clean all the gasket mating sur-
faces and crankcase mating surfaces.
2. Apply:
• sealant
(onto the crankcase mating surfaces)
Yamaha bond No. 1215
90890-85505
Sealant (Quick Gasket
ACC-11001-05-01
NOTE:
_
Do not allow any sealant to come into contact
with the oil gallery.
