1. OpenHotel 100
The program package "OpenHotel 100" (hereafter "OpenHotel") has been spe-
cially developed for hoteliers. Using this program package, hotels can incorporate
their guests into the OpenCom 100/OpenCom X300 system. Every guest can then
use the system through their room telephone. At departure, the costs are added to
the guest's account.
To calculate the telephone costs, the "OpenCount 100" program package is uti-
lised. If it is not present, then it will be activated when "OpenHotel" is installed.
Reception staff administrate the rooms via the Web console of the OpenCom 100/
OpenCom X300 using the OpenHotel package. This package is integrated into the
Web console as a separate application. Simultaneously it is possible to use nearly
all the available functionality of the Hotel application via the reception telephone.
The "OpenHotel 100" program package is also available in a reduced version. In
contrast to the full version the program OpenHotel, as reduced version, is not
usable via the Web console, all functions are only operable via the reception tele-
phone.
In order to use the "OpenHotel" program package, it is necessary to obtain a
licence with which the package may be activated (see also Licensing: the
Activation Procedure starting on page 5).
Demo versions
The OpenCom 100/OpenCom X300 system software (since release 6.10) includes
demo versions (usable for 60 days) of the "OpenHotel" (full version) and "Open-
Count" program packages. These demo versions can be activated in the
Configurator, under the SYS Configuration: Licences menu. For further details,
see the online help for this menu.

Software Features

With the "OpenHotel" program package the features of the OpenCom 100/
OpenCom X300 are extended by the following:

All hotel rooms are displayed in a room overview and can be directly managed
by the reception staff from the room overview. The overview displays the
status of each room ("Check-out", "Check-in" and "to clean"). This feature is
only available with the full version of the program package.
