2. Press the Line Feed key.
3. The next part of this test is forms path sensor tuning.
Important
The forms path sensors were tuned. The tuning must be done with all paper removed. If paper is
installed, remove the paper and repeat T&D07
4. When the sensors are tuned, it automatically goes into "Testing the Ribbon Lift Motion". The following
message will display.
T&D07 Pinch Roller/Sensor Tune/Ribbon TEST RUNNING TO STOP
5. The ribbon feed and the ribbon lift motors run continuously during this test. This feeds the ribbon, and
raises and lowers the ribbon lift. Press the Form Feed key to stop the test. If either motor fails, go to
MAP 0160: Ribbon feed and ribbon lift.
6. If an error message is displayed, go to T&D error messages and actions.
7. The test completed successfully if the display advances to the next test number.
T&D08—AFTA calibrate test
You must complete this test to:
v Calibrate the microcode for the printhead
- and -
v Adjust the gap between the printhead needles and the platen
Note: Do not run T&D08 unless instructed to do so by the "Standard AFTA service check and adjustment" on
page 152.
Before performing this procedure, correctly adjust the AFTA indicator wheel. See Automatic forms thickness
adjustment (AFTA) for the indicator wheel adjustment procedure.
If any error messages display during this test, go to T&D error messages and actions.
