Using a confidentially received original

Confidential reception

Confidential communication is a function to transmit and receive originals
between specific persons using a confidential box. Sending an original to a
confidential box on the recipient's fax machine is called a confidential trans-
mission and receiving an original in this machine's confidential box is called
confidential reception. Details of the procedure for printing and deleting orig-
inals received in confidential boxes is given below.
Note
For details on confidential reception, refer to "Confidential box settings"
on page 9-31 and set the confidential boxes and communication pass-
words as indicated (Communication password settings can be omitted).
Give the confidential box number and communication password to the
confidential transmission sender.
This function can be used only when the recipient's fax machine has F-
code functions.
For details on F-code, refer to "Fax glossary" on page 12-7.
