Touch [New].

Touch [Name], enter the destination name and then touch [OK].

Name of up to 24 characters can be registered.

For details on character input operations, refer to "Entering text" on

To change the registration number, touch [No.], and then use the

keypad to type in a number. If a destination is already registered

with the entered number, an error message appears and the desti-

nation cannot be registered with the entered number.

Touch [Index] and then register the search character.

Touch the search button of the search character that is to be regis-

tered from [Favorites] - [etc].

If the search character is specified for destinations that are used of-

ten, it is displayed at the beginning on the [Address Book] tab when

[Favorites] is selected.

Normally, search character is set automatically from the first char-

acter of registered name.
