Additional MAC Address Commands

Preventing MAC-Based DoS Attacks Command
Table 6 lists the command for preventing MAC-based DoS attacks.
The DoS attack is detected by the reception of packets with source MAC address that is a multicast
or broadcast address.

Enabling DoS Attack Prevention
The mac-address-table prevent-dos-attack command, in Global Configuration mode, enables
DoS attack prevention. The no form of the command disables DoS attack prevention.
By default, the DoS attack prevention is enabled.

device-name(config)#mac-address-table prevent-dos-attack
device-name(config)#no mac-address-table prevent-dos-attack
