BALL JOINT FREEPLAY INSPECTION
WARNING
Securely support the snowmobile so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
TIP
Place the snowmobile on a suitable stand so
that the ski is elevated.
1. Remove:
• Ski
Refer to "SKI" in chapter 3.
2. Inspect:
• Ball joint freeplay

Upper arm ball joint inspection steps:

• Measure the distance
the upper arm ball joint and steering knuckle.
• Fix the steering knuckle, move the upper arm
by hand and measure the distance
between the end of the upper arm ball joint
and steering knuckle again.
• Calculate the following:
– = upper arm ball joint freeplay

Measuring point should be at the same
location when measuring
