The top door is only designed to prevent refuse from escaping the hopper during transport. It
MPORTANT
should not be closed during packing, except if a reinforced roof is installed. Serious damage may
result.
Press the Pack button to actuate the pendulum packer. See Pack Push-Button (green) on page 66.

The packer should automatically complete a cycle then stop in its "home" position.

Packing Refuse Using the Auto-Packing Mode

To activate the packing cycle:
Turn on the hydraulic system (see Pump Switch on page 58).

Open the top door (see Top Door Switches (Roof Open/Roof Close) on page 64).

Turn on the Auto-Packing switch on the control panel (see Auto-Packing Switch (optional) on

: Lowering the arms activates the Auto-Packing cycle when the corresponding switch is

activated (green-lighted).
Turn off the Auto-Packing switch when this feature is no longer needed.

Safety while Using the Packing System

Warning!
Always keep the warning lights and/or four-way flashers on when collecting refuse.
Danger!
Never attempt to reach inside the hopper area when either the pendulum packer or the
arms are in motion. Severe injury or death may occur.
Warning!
Wear protective safety equipment (e.g. safety glasses and gloves) when you are working
close to the hopper area.
