Check if the tailgate safety pins are in place. If they are not then you need to put them in place to

lock the tailgate properly.
As you walk along the side of the truck, clean all safety decals.

Check the frame area, fuel tank and air tanks (air tanks must be drained every day), cleaning traps

and wheels for leaks, cracks or other type of problems.
At the front end, check lights and mirrors.

Go around and check lights, clean camera lenses, decals, lights, etc.

Check for hydraulic leaks.

Arm Inspection Procedure

On a daily basis, perform a visual inspection of the lifting arms and forks, looking for leaks, cracks or
premature wear of the moving parts. Refer to the Lubrication section in the Maintenance Manual for
detailed greasing points.

Danger!
Do not stand directly in the path of the arm while performing the inspection.
Warning!
Apply the lockout/tagout procedure at all times. See Locking Out and Tagging Out the
Vehicle on page 36.
Apply the following inspection procedure:
Make sure to park the vehicle on safe level ground.

Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump (see Pump Switch on page 58).
2.
Fully lower both lifting arms and extend both forks as shown in Figure 4-3.
