58 Controls and Indicators

Body Up Switch

Located on the control panel, this switch (see Figure 3-17) is used to raise the refuse body. Press and
keep down this switch to completely raise the body for unloading purposes or to raise it to a certain
height in order to either place the body props under the body or put them back in their home
position.
: When the body reaches a certain height, the Body Up switch will turn green while the Body

Down switch will turn blue.

Body Down Switch

Located on the control panel, this switch (see Figure 3-17) is used to lower the refuse body. Press and
keep down this switch to completely lower the body until it perfectly rests on the frame or on the
body props.
: When the body is completely lowered onto the frame, the Body Down switch will turn green

while the Body Up switch will turn blue.

Pump Switch

This switch (see Figure 3-16), also known as PTO switch, engages and disengages the hydraulic
pump, all the body functions (packer, tailgate) and the joystick that controls the arms.
Press the switch to activate the hydraulic pump (switch turns green).
Press the same switch again to deactivate the hydraulic pump (switch turns blue).
: If a safety interlock (e.g. due to access cover not closed) stops the hydraulic system from

running, the pump switch flashes red and the message "Pump: Hopper Door Not Closed"
appears on the display monitor.
: Do not close the main shut-off valve on the hydraulic tank even if the PTO switch is turned off.

OTE
The pump is always turning whatever the engine RPM. It is very important not to let the pump
run dry or without oil. Otherwise, the pump will be seriously damaged or even destroyed.
