Shutting Down the Vehicle

If the vehicle has to be stored for an extended period of time, follow the chassis manufacturer's
shutdown and maintenance requirements.
Also:
Park the vehicle on a hard level surface, and apply the parking brake (see Figure 2-13).

Make sure that all moving parts are in their home position (tailgate, arms, packer, etc.).

Turn off, in sequence, the hydraulic pump (see Figure 2-17), the electrical system, the engine and

the master switch (see Figure 2-14).
Drain all air tanks and water trap.
