With the Tailgate Up Switch on the in-cab control panel, raise the tailgate about 3 feet (enough

Pull the safety prop upward and set it down (see Figure 2-5).

Putting the Tailgate Safety Prop Back in Place
To put the tailgate safety prop back in its home position:
Start the engine.

Turn on the pump.
2.
Raise the tailgate by about 3 feet.

Raise the tailgate safety prop (see Figure 2-6).

Danger! Stand clear of tailgate path while putting the safety prop back in its home position.
