15 Interbus-S Slave AB3615

15.1 Interbus-S Interface Details

The Interbus-S 2Mbit/s module is a slave node that can be read from/written to by an Interbus master.
Being a slave module, it cannot initiate communication to other nodes; it only responds to incoming
requests.
• Galvanically isolated bus electronics.
• Up to 10 words of cyclic in/out data => 20 bytes in 20 bytes out => 160 bits in 160 bits out.
• No settings needed in maintenance mode.
• Baudrate. Setting only possible by changing jumper on physical AnyBus card. See below. The
module supports 2Mbit/s and 500kbit/s operation.
• Physical Addressing. No setting. The addressing in a Interbus-S system is automatically assigned
to devices using their physical location.
• No "Process Data" (parameter data) is used.

15.2 Card

Caution
The card contains ESD sensitive components. Observe ESD precautions when handling the
card.
