14 FIPIO Slave AB3611

14.1 FIPIO Interface Details

General features:
• Supports both FIP and WorldFIP standards
• Baudrate. The baud rate is fixed to the standard FIPIO baudrate 1Mbit/s
• The FIPIO slave is configured as a Class 0 device, i.e. it cannot change configuration in run-time.
It supports all 3 different FIPIO profiles:
• FRD C2 = FRDP - FIPIO Reduced Device Profile. Up to 2 words in/out = 4 bytes = 32 bits.
• FSD C8 = FSDP - FIPIO Standard Device Profile. Up to 8 words in/out = 16 bytes = 128 bits
• FED C32 = FEDP - FIPIO Extended Device Profile. Up to 32 words in/out = 64 bytes = 512 bits.
• The profile is selected depending on the configured IO size.

14.2 Card

Caution
The card contains ESD sensitive components. Observe ESD precautions when handling the
card.
