9. Press the OK button to load the data.
Loading from the Restore CD
If the sounds have somehow been erased from the
internal drive, you can also load them from CD:
1. Insert the included CD "Restore 1/4" into the
OASYS's CD‐R/RW drive.
2. Press the DISK button to enter Disk mode.
3. Press the LCD screen to make the OASYS
recognize the disc.
4. Go to the Load tab of the File page.
5. Use Drive Select to select CDD.
The LCD screen will show the files and folders on the
disk.
6. Select the PRELOAD.PCG file.
The selected file will be highlighted.
7. Choose the Load selected command from the page
menu.
8. Use ".PCG Contents" to select the data you want to
load. To completely restore the factory sounds,
select All.
9. Press the OK button to load the data.
Never attempt to remove media while data is being
loaded.
Restoring EXs samples to the factory
defaults
When the OASYS is shipped from the factory, the PCM
memory bank is set to load the EXs1 ROM Expansion
sample library at start‐up. For more information, see
"About the OASYS' PCM memory" on page 35. To
restore the OASYS to this setting:
1. Press the front‐panel GLOBAL button to enter
Global mode.
2. Press the EXIT switch to access the P0: Basic Setup
page.
3. Press the page menu button (located in the upper
right of the LCD), and select "Expansion Sample
Setup."
A dialog box will appear.
Other disk operations
4. Select the desired EXs PCM bank.
Check "EXs1 ROM Expansion 284 MB," to load the
multisamples and samples for EXs1.
5. Press the OK button.
After pressing OK, the EXs configuration will be
adjusted immediately, and samples will be loaded or
un‐loaded as necessary. Loading samples may take
some time.
The selected EXs will also be loaded automatically at
power‐on.
