(5) All track format
All tracks are formatted as good tracks except those registered as bad
tracks in Item (4) above or those identified as bad tracks in track verifi-
cation described in Item (6) below.
(6) Track verification
A check is made of all tracks and if an ECC error, ECC-correctable-data
error or record-not-found error is detected at a track, that track is format-
ted as a bad track automatically.

Good track FORMAT
If a good track has been erroneously formatted as a bad track, you can use this
sub test to reformat the track as a good track. To format a track as a good
track, enter the number for the drive, interleave, cylinder and head as indicated
in the screen prompt shown below.
Drive number select (1:#1, 2:#2) ?
Interleave number (1 / 1 - 8) ?
Press [Cylinder number (dddd)] ?
Press [Head number (dd)] ?
Press Enter to return to the Hard Disk Format menu.

Bad track FORMAT
To format a track as a bad track, enter the number for the drive, interleave,
cylinder and head as indicated in the screen prompt shown below.
Drive number select (1:#1, 2:#2) ?
Interleave number (1 / 1 - 8) ?
Press [Cylinder number (dddd)] ?
Press [Head number (dd)] ?
Press Enter to return to the Hard Disk Format menu.
