To load the media straight, make guide marks for positioning on the paper pipe.
Make each guide mark
about half a turn long
as seen from the front
of the printer.

Pull out the media back toward you and let it
hang down, with no slack in the portion above
the paper pipe.
Hold near the center and pull out straight.
Make guide marks on the paper pipe for the left
and right edges of the media.
