CENTRAL LOCK SYSTEM

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The Chery sedan A15 employs a complete electronic control central lock system. The central
lock system is consisted of one 4-wire type controlling module, three supplemental door lock
actuating motors and one luggage boot cover actuating motor. The lock and unlock of the
interlock mechanism for the central lock system are all controlled by the driver side door lock
switch. The central door lock module is installed in the driver side door panel.

PRINCIPLE OF CENTRAL DOOR LOCK CONTROL

The 4# pin of the central control module provides the normal power supply to the S18 30A
fuse, the 2# pin is grounded, and the 1# and 3# pins are linked to the actuating motor
respectively. When the driver side door lock switch is turned to "OFF" position, the car is
locked; when the driver side door lock switch is turned to "ON" position; the car is unlocked.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

1. ALL THE DOOR LOCKS DO NOT FUNCIONT
Malfunction symptoms
1) When the driver side door lock switch is locked, all the doors are not locked.
2) When the driver side door lock switch is unlocked, none of the doors is unlocked.
Malfunction reasons
1) The S18 30A fuse for the normal power supply of 30# terminal is broken;
2) The circuit connecting the central door lock module to the S18 30A fuse is faulty;
3) Poor grounding;
4) The central door lock module is faulty.
Troubleshooting
Firstly, verify that the 30# terminal connected to the normal supply S18 30A fuse is open or
the 12V power supply. If there is no 12V power supply or the fuse is not open, check the
circuit for the malfunction. If there is a 12V power supply, verify that there is a 12V power
supply in the circuit from S18 30A fuse to the 4# pin of the central door lock module. If there
is no 12V power supply, there is a malfunction in the circuit. If there is a 12V power supply,
verify that the 2# pin of the central door lock module is grounded or not. If it is not grounded,
there is a malfunction in the circuit. If it is grounded, there is malfunction in the central door
lock module, and the central door lock module should be replaced.
2. NONE OF THE CENTRAL DOOR LOCKS CAN BE UNLOCKED
