Fitting the piston

Inside the piston there is a stamped arrow that indicates the exhaust side.
•
To refit the sealing rings on the piston, position the arrow stamped on the piston external
surface facing the operator.
The piston rings are all different and are fitted with
the "N" mark facing up.
•
Fit the oil scraper ring on the piston,
with its opening facing the exhaust
side.
•
Fit the remaining sealing rings on the
piston with a 90° offset one from the
other.
•
Place a new locking ring on the piston.
•
Place the piston on the connecting rod
and insert the pin.

Place a new locking ring on the piston in order to lock the pin.
