SIP Connection Method Overview
There are four methods supported for connecting SIP trunks to the ECS
system: (1) Connecting SIP trunks directly to the ECS (ECS version 8.0
enhancement) or (2) Connecting SIP trunks to the ECS via a SIP/PRI
gateway, or (3) Connecting SIP trunks to the ECS via the Ingate SIParator,
(4) Connecting to a SIP to Analog ATA device (i.e., SPA 3102). This
section focuses on the SIP trunk to ECS Direct Connection and associated
ECS software version 8.0 enhancements. Refer to the four examples below
for SIP connection types that are supported:
Direct Connection (ECS 8.0 Enhancement)
SIP/PRI Gateway
Ingate SIParator
SIP to Analog ATA
