Check the scanned results for the presence of undesired lines. If undesired lines are present, identify
the sensor number corresponding to the undesired line positions using the X coordinates. Moving the
mouse cursor over the undesired lines on the screen displays their X and Y coordinates at the bottom
right of the screen.

If there are no undesired lines, check using the gray paper. If no undesired lines are detected using the gray
paper, follow the procedure in 5. "Shading (undesired gray line removal)" (Page 11-15).
The sensors are numbered from 1 on the left-hand side of the screen to 5 on the right-hand side.

Note down the X coordinates of the undesired lines on the image scanned.

Eject the undesired color line removal check paper. Clean the scanner glass and place the shading
paper on the scanner.

Identify the sensor number corresponding to the undesired line positions using the X coordinates and
perform individual shading for that particular sensor.
(10) Select "Shading" on the screen, click the appropriate sensor number, and then select "Run".

identified by separating the R, G,
and B values using Photoshop
"Histogram" for undesired lines
of more than two pixels identified
visually and confirming that all
the R, G, and B values are less
than 250. If any of the R, G, and
B values are 250 or more, repeat
the process from step (6). This
can be checked using
ScanningMaster ProColor if
Photoshop is not installed.
