5.26 Thread tension release

Standard:
•
Lower presser foot lifter lever (117).
•
The release lever (118) must not touch the pressure piece (119) – neither at 0 position of adjusting
wheel nor at position 10. (With artista 640, turn the cam of the upper thread tension stepping motor from
minimum to maximum).
•
Set lifter lever (117) up, and upper thread tension adjusting wheel (artista 630) to position 10.
•
The distance between the tension discs must be at least 0.3 mm.
Correction:
•
Raise presser foot lifter lever (117).
•
Turn adjusting wheel to position 10 (with artista 640, turn the cam of upper thread stepping motor to
maximum).
•
Loosen lock nut (121).
•
Adjust adjusting screw (122) to set pressure piece distance to at least 0.3 mm.
•
Tighten lock nut (121).
