Use test j to go to customer's embroidery view.

Press Clear to return to service basic program.

7.1 Updating of sewing/embroidery computer

Note:
The artista models 630 and 640 do not have the same firmware (FW). FW files for 630 and 640 can,
however, be stored on the same BERNINA USB data stick.
1. Connect BERNINA USB data stick including all FW files.
2. Switch machine on (power on).
3. Select setup by pressing "update".
4. The "update" screen appears. Press "update" icon to start the
update.
5. Update files are checked, data and settings saved to the USB
data stick and a reset triggered. The update is carried out after
resetting. The sewing/embroidery computer automatically starts
with the new application in update mode.
6. The settings and data that were saved on the USB data stick are
sent back to the sewing/embroidery computer. The application changes to normal mode.
7. The new version is now installed on the sewing/embroidery computer. It is ready for normal use.
8. If the update can not be started or in the event of problems occurring while updating, one of the
error messages below may appear:

Update files incomplete.
All required files must be copied to the
BERNINA USB data stick. The stick must
be correctly connected to the sewing/embroidery
computer.
