Disassembly:
1. Remove covers.
2. Remove stitch plate including stitch
plate frame.
3. Remove securing screws (52) and
hook race cover (51).
4. Remove screw (53) and hook drive
(53a).
5. Remove the 3 screws (55) and hook
race (54).
6. Remove thread guide and thread
positioning plate (56).
7. Replace hook race ring.
Assembly:
1. Refit thread guide and thread positioning plate onto new hook race ring.
2. Use hook race gauge (006765.71.00) to fit hook race ring. Don't tighten the screws yet.
3. Set stitch length crank manually to shortest stitch length (to stop position).
4. Set needle bar to highest position.
5. Position CB centering gauge in hook race ring.
6. Place V-notched paralleling gauge on feed-dog shaft (14 and 15 on p. 38) and hook race ring (16 and
17 on p. 38).
7. Slightly press paralleling gauge against the four supporting points. Check
position of centering gauge.
8. Retighten screws (12). Check the position again after tightening the screws!
9. Slide hinge pin for hook cover back in. Tighten screws (52).
10. Set toothed rack to the left (needle bar must be at the same time in its
highest position.
11. Slightly lift toothed rack.
12. Fit driver and washer as follows:
Make sure to align the driver arm (58) at its pivoting point
with the thread guide (57) (they must be approx. in line).
13. Retighten screw (53).
14. Refit hook race cover.
15. Check feed-dog lateral position.
16. Refit covers.
17. Calibrate speed.
18. Carry out a functional check.
19. Sew-off.
