5.23 Position of synchronizing disc (rough-adjustment)

Attention:
Don't over tighten the screw of the composite synchronizing disc.
Standard:
•
Mechanical check:
•
Pin needle drive balance piece.
•
The positioning disc screw (77a) should be in a horizontal
position and point to the back (visible through rear opening
in housing).
Correction:
•
Presetting:
•
Loosen screw (77a).
•
Pin balance piece.
•
Turn synchronizing disc in such way that screw (77a)
points horizontally to the back (visible through rear housing
opening) and lies against the circlip.
•
Retighten screw (77a) carefully.
Fine-adjustment:
What to adjust:
•
Loosen synchronizing disc screw (77a).
•
Pin balance piece (loop lift position).
•
Turn synchronizing disc until light signal 3 turns off and light
signal 4 turns on (27.5°).
•
Retighten screw (77a) carefully.

5.24 Basic balance setting

Standard:
•
Remove covers.
•
Pin balance adjusting cam
(107) (pin from hand wheel
side).
•
Drive gear must be set
against stop (A). The first
tooth of the drive gear must lie against first tooth of the toothed
segment.
•
The stitch length crank (108) should now be in pinning position.
