3-6 Preread Editing

Set the monitor output switch to
"PB".

On video settings page 1/2 of the
submenu, set "PREREAD" to
"ON".

Make the necessary connections
for the preread editing.

Execute the preread editing after
selecting the desired insert
editing.
For details of executing insert
editing, see 3-1-2 "Insert
Editing" (page 3-2).

After preread editing, break the
connections used for the preread
editing.

On video settings page 1/2 of the
submenu, set "PREREAD" to
"OFF".

Make sure that no loop
connection remains.
• When using an external switcher, set
setup menu item 727 (page 6-32) to
EXT.
• Some switchers cannot be used due
to their delay time. For details,
consult Sony service personnel.
