Reprogramming the Transceiver

From time to time, GE MDS releases updated firmware for many of its
products, for the purpose of adding features or improving overall oper-
ation. You can benefit from these updates by downloading them from
www.gemds.com>>Resources>>Downloads
radio. Be sure to read any associated release notes before installing any
firmware to ensure that it is applicable to the model and configuration
you have.
The transceiver contains built-in tools to manage the reprogramming of
its firmware image(s). This section identifies the menu screens used in
reprogramming and directs you to more detailed procedures elsewhere
in this manual.
Local reprogramming is performed by connecting a PC to the trans-
ceiver's
port (serial method) or Ethernet port (TFTP method).

the reprogramming methods.
