Which parameters can be memorized?

Arrangements can be modified by changing styles,
programs, pan, volume, transposition (TRANSPOSE
and OCTAVE buttons), the status of the Keyboard
Mode, Keyboard Assign, Chord Scanning sections and
the status of the ENSEMBLE and SUSTAIN buttons.
All these parameters (except for the styles and pro-
grams of the accompaniment tracks, see table on
page 23) can be memorised also in the Keyboard Set.
Apart from these parameters, the Keyboard Set also
memorises the status of the VOCAL/GUITAR section
(pages 14-23 of the Arrangement Play mode).

The tempo and recognized chords are always shown
at the top of the display.

Once the modifications have been made, the parame-
ters can be saved in a USER Arrangement or Keyboard
Set. Press:
• REC/WRITE/LYRICS to load "Page 25: Write
Arrangement" (see page 88) and save the configu-
ration in an arrangement, or
• REC/WRITE/LYRICS + a button in the KEY-
BOARD SET section to load "Page 26: Write Key-
board Set" (see page 89) and save the configuration
in a Keyboard Set.
Name of the chords
When the instrument detects a chord, its abbreviation
appears on the display. The chords control the
arrangement patterns.
The chord recognition notes must be played in the
chord recognition area of the iS35 keyboard or
received over the special channels Global, Chord 1 and
Chord 2 (see "The special channels" on page 52).
The notes for the chord recognition that arrive on
Chord 1 and Chord 2 channels have no extension lim-
its. The notes that arrive on the Global channel are
affected by the split point and the status of the
CHORD SCANNING section.
• Chord Scanning LOWER: detects chords below the
split point. The recognition mode depends on the
"ChordRecog (Chord recognition mode)" parame-
ter (see page 162).
• Chord Scanning UPPER: detect chords above the
split point. The recognition mode is always "Fin-
gered 2" (see page 162), that requires chords of at
least three notes.
• Chord Scanning FULL: detect chords on the entire
keyboard. The recognition mode is always "Fin-
gered 2" (see page 162), that requires chords of at
least three notes.
In order to program the split point, hold down the
SPLIT POINT button and play the note you with to set
as split point.
