Page 21: User scale

You can create fourteen personalised scales that can be
assigned to the keyboard tracks in the Arrangement
Play mode (see "Page 8: Keyboard scale" on page 71),
or used as main or sub scale in the other operating
modes (see "Page 19: Main scale" on page 164, e "Page
20: Sub scale" on page 164).

Page 22: MIDI data dump

The MIDI Data Dump is the sending of internal data of
the iS35 to another MIDI device, as System Exclusive
messages. This data is used to exchange information
on the USER data programming of the iS35. The sys-
tem exclusive data can be recorded in an external
sequencer, preferably in the song which uses it.
Data type
To transmit System Exclusive data:
1. Set the System Exclusive message filter on "o". (see
"Page 9: MIDI filter").
Scale to be programmed
[USER SCALE 1...14]
Once of the fourteen user scales.
Note
[C...B]
The note you wish to modify. The modifications apply
to this note on all the octaves.
Tuning
[–50...+50]
Tuning of the selected note, in 1 cent steps (1 cent =
of a semitone). Tuning can be changed by max. a
100
quarter tone above (+50) or below (-50) the standard
tuning.
2. Select the type of data you wish to send and press
ENTER/YES.
3. Write down the MIDI Global channel, which
should be the same when you wish to newly
receive the data from the external device (see "Page
6: MIDI channel settings (1)").
To receive System Exclusive data.
1. Program the MIDI Global channel on the channel
where data has been sent. (see "Page 6: MIDI chan-
nel settings (1)").
2. Set the System Exclusive message filter on "o". (see
"Page 9: MIDI filter").
3. Move to this page and start transmitting from the
external device.
