Troubleshooting Guidelines
When SRTP is provisioned in CM, the default cryptosuite used is 'aescm128-hmac80'. The
9600 Series SIP IP Telephone also assumes that no encryption is an option provisioned in CM.
If these assumptions were made explicit in the 46xxsettings.txt file they would show as:
SET MEDIAENCRYPTION "9"
Again, this is the telephone's default (9 = 'none') and need not be provisioned explicitly in the
46xxsettings.txt file. If some other encryption set is required, the string must be set
appropriately in the 46xxsettings.txt file. For example, to disable encryption, the following line
must be added to the 46xxsettings.txt file:
SET MEDIAENCRYPTION "9"
The setting of 9 corresponds to no encryption.

Diagnosis/Possible Resolution
Enable call transfer.
Set CALLFWDSTAT to enable forwarding.
Telephone has failed over to Audiocodes
gateway.
Check Audiocodes gateway configuration.
Telephone is not connected to any gateway.
The Emergency call configuration for the
registered server may be wrong. The
problem may be with the outgoing PRI/ISDN
line. Check if the user is logged in as a
visiting user. Check configuration.
