The Menu System

The comprehensive menu system provides setup and configuration controls
for the CP-800. These installation-specific features let you customize how the
CP-800 works within the context of your particular system. Changes are made
on-the-fly, which allows you to quickly set up and modify settings without
constantly being asked if you're sure you want to make the change and pressing
enter to save. The CP-800 stores settings in non-volatile memory whenever the
unit is put into standby, so it's a good practice to put the unit into standby after
making changes. In normal daily operation this happens anyway, but if you
want to be sure a loss of power doesn't erase your changes, putting the unit into
standby will give you extra assurance.
Pressing the Menu button on the front panel or remote control opens the main
Menu page, which is divided into six sections as shown below.
At the top right of the menu pages you may find a
button which uses the
arrow icon when additional menu options are available, and/or a Home button
for returning to the Home page. When on the main Menu page, pressing the
Menu button returns to the Home page. If you are on a page within the Menu
System, pressing the Menu button returns you to the main Menu page. When
you navigate beyond the main Menu page a return or back button using the
icon appears on the upper left corner of the page. This returns you to the
previous page.

System Setup

Touching the System Setup button on the main Menu page opens the System
Setup page, which contains ten setup options, the first nine of which are shown
below, with Teach IR located on the next page.
