Connecting to Devices and Networks

This chapter provides guidelines for making physical connections between the D.20 RIO
and substation and network devices.
All physical connections are made to the connectors on the rear panel of the D.20 RIO.

To provide higher EMC immunity and maintain CE Mark radiated emission compliance, the
serial cables used for permanent D.20 Link connections must comply with the following
requirements:
Cables must be shielded, with the shield terminated to the connector shell on the D.20
RIO side.
