To back up a D.20 RIO configuration:
1.
Connect to the D.20 RIO using the WinSCP tool by providing the D.20 RIO IP address,
admin username and password.
2.
Mount the user configuration directory on the D.20 RIO using the following steps:
2.1.
In the D.20 RIO side (right-side) of WinSCP window, navigate to the /mnt/
directory.
2.2.
Right-click the usr directory > select Custom Commands > select Enter....
2.3.
Copy and paste the following command to the Custom Command dialog box:
sudo mount /mnt/usr
2.4.
If a dialog box appears for confirmation to open separate shell session, click
OK. If prompted to enter a password, enter the password of an admin user.
2.5.
If error: Error looking for user groups appears, click OK.
3.
Create a zip archive of the D.20 RIO user configuration using the following steps:
3.1.
In the D.20 RIO side (right-side) of WinSCP window, navigate to /mnt/usr/
directory.
3.2.
Ctrl-click the D20DNA_SysConfig and Configure directories and the
md5sum.txt file > right click D20DNA_Sysconfig > select Custom Commands
> then select Tar/GZip....
If the above directories do not appear in /mnt/usr/ directory, refresh the right
panel by clicking the Refresh button at the top.
Result: The Tar/GZip dialog appears.
3.3.
Enter a name for the configuration archive with a .tgz extension (for example:
RIO_1.tgz). Click OK.
Result: A configuration archive with the chosen archive name is created.
4.
Move the configuration archive to a Windows PC using WinSCP by using the following
steps:
4.1.
In the D.20 RIO side (right-side) of WinSCP window, right-click on the
configuration archive file > then select Move...
4.2.
Click the Move. The configuration archive appears in the left pane and no
longer appears in the right pane.
5.
Un-mount user configuration directory on the D.20 RIO using the following steps:
5.1.
In the D.20 RIO side (right-side) of WinSCP window, navigate to the /mnt/
directory.
5.2.
Right-click the usr directory > select Custom Commands > then select Enter...
5.3.
Copy the following command, and paste to the Custom Command dialog box:
sudo umount /mnt/usr
The /mnt/usr/ directory must be un-mounted on the D.20 RIO for proper
functioning of the D.20 RIO device.
6.
Close the WinSCP application.
7.
Securely store the configuration archive backup file.
