D.20 RIO - HARDWARE USER'S MANUAL
4.
Connect to the D400 HMI and execute the following steps.
4.1.
In the Connection Configuration screen, add Network connections and select
D.20 Network Client from the drop down menu.
4.2.
Add the D.20 RIO device and click the Retrieve D.20 RIO Configuration tab.
To ensure that the service starts automatically, select the Block Settings >

for each device you add to the D400
4.3.
Enter the IP address, User Name and Password of the primary D.20 RIO and
click Download. The default protocol is HTTP for retrieving the D.20 RIO
configuration; however if the user configures HTTPS in D.20 RIO then the
protocol for retrieving the D.20 RIO configuration should be HTTPS.
4.4.
If the error message: Max users logged in for user appears in the D400 HMI,
then close all open D.20 RIO HMI sessions and try to download the D.20 RIO
configuration again using the Retrieve D.20 RIO Configuration tab of the D400
HMI.
4.5.
Once the primary D.20 RIO configuration download is successful, a pop-up
message appears: Found Redundant RIO, NTP Time Synchronization and
Configuration should be done properly.
4.6.
Click OK.
Result: Another pop-up window appears for the secondary D.20 RIO with the
default username/password (supervisor/super123$) of the secondary D.20 RIO.

If the error message: Max users logged in for user appears, then close the
current active secondary D.20 RIO HMI sessions and repeat the steps 4.3. to 4.6.
4.8.
Click the Setup button to download the configuration to the secondary D.20
RIO.
Result: All related configuration data is now synchronized between the primary
and secondary D.20 RIOs.
4.9.
Save and commit the configuration in the D400 HMI.
The D.20 RIO redundancy states can be verified from either the:
D400, or
D.20 RIO command line.
To verify D.20 RIO redundancy states from the D400:
Use the information in Table 17 to create Analog Input (AI) text enumeration mapping
in the D400 for D.20 RIO analog points indicating D.20 RIO states.
