Setting the "Erase" Function
To make copies using an "Erase" setting

Load the document to be copied.

Refer to "Loading the Document" on page 4-1.

Press the [Erase] key until the
indicator for the desired "Erase"
setting lights up.

Do you know how large of an
area is erased?

The width of the erased area for
the "Left", "Upper" and "Frame"
settings can be set between
5 mm and 20 mm, in 1 mm
increments. The default setting
is 10 mm.

The width of the erased area for
the "Center" setting is fixed at
10 mm.

The width of the erased area for the "Left", "Upper" and "Frame"
settings can be changed using the "ERASE SETTING" function in
the Utility mode (p. 9-36).

If necessary, specify any other copy settings.

Using the 10-Key Pad, enter the desired number of copies, and then
press the [Start] key.
