NOTE: There are two batteries in the server: the system battery and the MP board battery. See
the parts list for the system battery part number.

Removing the System Battery

WARNING!

Voltages are present at various locations within the server whenever a DC power source is
connected. This voltage is present even when the main power switch is turned off.
Failure to observe this warning can result in personal injury or damage to equipment.

To remove the system battery, follow these steps:
1. Power off the server.
2. If rack-mounted, slide the server out from the rack until it stops. See
