STEP 1 Assemble the rail and trolley
To preventINJURY frompinching, keephands andfingersawayfromthejointswhile assemblingthe
rail.
Toavoid installation difficulties, d onotrunthegaragedooropeneruntilinstructed todoso.
The front railhas a cutout"windod' atthe doorend (see illustration). T he hole abovethis windowis
largeron the topof the railthanon the bottom. A smallerhole 3-1/2"(8.9cm)awayis closeto the rail
edge.Rotatethebackrail soit hasa similarhole closetothe oppositeedge,about4-3/4"(12 cm)from
the far end.
1. Removethe straightdoor arm andhanging bracketpackagedinside the frontrailand set
asidefor Installation Step5 and 9. NOTE: TopreventINJURYwhile unpackingthe rail
carefullyremovethestraightdoor armstoredwithintherail section.
2. Alignthe railsectionson a flatsurfaceasshown and slidethe taperedends into the larger
ones.Tabsalong the sidewill lockinto place.
3. Placethe motorunit on packingmaterialtoprotectthe cover,and restthe backend ofthe rail
ontop. Forconvenience,puta supportunderthe frontend ofthe rail.
4. Asa temporary stop, inserta screwdriverintothe hole 10" (25 cm)fromthefront end ofthe rail,
asshown.
5. Checkto be surethere are 4 plasticwear pads inside the innertrolley.Ifthey becameloose
duringshipping,checkall packingmaterial.Snapthembackinto positionasshown.
6. Slidethetrolleyassemblytowardthescrewdriverasshown.
7. Slidethe railontothe "U" bracket,untilit reachesall the stopson the topand sidesofthe "U"
bracket.
