The Alert2Closefeatureprovidesa visualand an audiblealertthat an unattendeddoor is closing,
TIMER-TO-CLOSE (TTC)
The Timer-to-Close featureautomatically closesthedoor aftera specified time periodthatcan be
adjustedusingthe door control.DONOTenablerrc if operating a one-piece door. T FC is to be used
ONLY with sectional doors.Factorydefaultis setto off.The garagedoor opener willbeep andthe lights
willflash beforeclosingthe door.The TTCfeaturewilldeactivateifthe garagedoor encounters an
obstructiontwice;or thesafetyreversingsensorsare incorrectlyinstalled.Thegarage door will reverse
openand WILLNOTcloseuntil theobstructions are clearor thesafetyreversingsensorsare correctly
installed.When theobstructionhas been clearedor the safetyreversingsensorshavebeen aligned,the
door will closewhenthe garagedoor opener is activated. T TCWILLNOTwork ifthegarage door opener
is operatingby batterypower or ifthesafetyreversingsensorsare misaligned.Thisfeatureis NOT
intendedto be theprimarymethodofclosingthe door.A keyless entry should be installed inthe event
of anaccidental lock out when using this feature.
MyQ ®
MyQ ® technologyusesa 900MHzsignalto providetwo-waycommunication betweenthe garagedoor
openerand MyQ ® enabled accessories. Your garagedoor openeris compatiblewithupto 8 MyQ ®
accessories.
REMOTE CONTROLS AND DOOR CONTROLS (MyQ ®)
Your garagedoor opener has alreadybeen programmed at the factoryto operatewithyourremote
control,which changeswitheachuse, randomlyaccessingover 100 billionnew codes.Compatiblewith
MyQ ® enabledaccessories, s ee page 39.
NOTE: Older Chamberlainremotecontrols,door controls, a nd thirdpady productsare notcompatible.
THE PROTECTOR SYSTEM ® (SAFETY REVERSING SENSORS)
Whenproperly connectedandaligned,the safetyreversingsensorswilldetectan obstructioninthe path
ofthe infraredbeam.Ifan obstructionbreaksthe infraredbeamwhilethe door is closing,thedoor will
stopand reverseto full openposition,andthe opener lightswillflash 10times.Ifthe door isfullyopen,
andthe safetyreversingsensorsare not installed,or are misaligned,thedoor will notclosefrom a
remotecontrol.However,you can closethe door ifyou hold the buttonon the door controlor keyless
entryuntilthe door isfullyclosed.The safetyreversingsensorsdo not effecttheopeningcycle.
ENERGY CONSERVATION
Forenergyefficiencythegarage door openerwill entersleepmodewhenthe door is fullyclosed.The
sleepmodeshutsthe garage door openerdown untilactivated. T he sleep modeissequencedwiththe
garagedoor opener lightbulb; asthe lightbulb turnsoffthe sensor LEDswill turn offand wheneverthe
garagedoor opener lightsturn on thesensor LEDswilllight.The garage door openerwill notgo into the
sleepmodeuntilthe garage dooropener has completed5 cyclesuponpower up.
LIGHTS
Thegarage door opener lightbulbswill turnon whentheopener is initiallyplugged in;poweris restored
afterinterruption,or whenthegarage door opener isactivated.The lightswilltum offautomaticallyafter
4-1/2 minutes. A n incandescent A 19 lightbulb (100 wattmaximum)or for maximumenergyefficiencya
26W(100Wequivalent)compact f luorescentlight (CFL)bulb maybe used.NOTE:Do rictus® halogen,
shortneck,or speda/ty/ightbu/bs asthesemay overheattheend pane/or /ight socket.Do rictus®LED
bulbsas theymay reducetherange or pefformanceof yourremotecontrols.
Light Feature
Thegarage door opener isequipped withan addedfeature;the lightswillturn on when someoneenters
throughtheopen garagedoor and the safetyreversingsensorinfraredbeamis broken,Foradded
