• DisableALL locksand removeALL ropesconnectedto garage door BEFOREinstallationand
operatinggaragedoor opener to avoidentanglement.
ALWAYSdisable locksBEFOREinstallingandoperatingthe opener.
ONLYoperategarage door openerat 120 V,60 Hzto avoid malfunction anddamage.
1. Disablelocksand removeany ropesconnectedto the garagedoor.
2. Liftthe door halfwayup. Releasethe door. Ifbalanced,itshouldstayin
place,supportedentirelybyitssprings.
3. Raiseand lowerthedoor to checkfor bindingor sticking. I fyour door
binds,sticks, o r is outof balance,call a traineddoor systems
technician.
4. Checkthe sealon the bottomofthe door.Any gap betweenthe floor
andthe bottomofthe door mustnot exceed1/4inch(6 mm).
Otherwise, t he safetyreversal s ystemmaynotworkproperly.
5. The openershouldbe installedabovethecenterofthe door. Ifthere is
a torsionspringor centerbearingplate inthe wayof the header
bracket,itmay be installedwithin4 feet (1.2m) to the leftor rightofthe
