IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To reducethe riskof SEVERE INJURY or DEATH:
1. READANDFOLLOWALLINSTALLATION WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Installgaragedoor openerONLY onproperly balancedand lubricatedgarage door.An
improperlybalanceddoor mayNOT reversewhenrequiredand couldresult inSEVERE
INJURYor DEATH.
3. ALL repairsto cables,springassembliesand other hardwareMUSTbe madebya trained
door systems technicianBEFOREinstallingopener.
4. DisableALL locksand removeALL ropesconnectedto garage door BEFOREinstalling
openerto avoidentanglement.
5. Installgaragedoor opener7 feet(2.13 m) or moreabovefloor.
6. Mountthe emergencyreleasewithinreach,but at least6 feet(1.83 m) abovethefloor and
avoidingcontactwithvehiclesto avoid accidentalrelease.
7. NEVERconnectgaragedoor openerto powersourceuntil instructedto do so.
8. NEVERwear watches, r ings or looseclothingwhile installingor servicing opener.Theycould
be caughtin garagedoor or opener mechanisms.
9. Install w all-mountedgarage doorcontrol:
• withinsightofthe garage door.
• outof reachof childrenat minimumheight of5 feet (1.5 m).
• awayfrom ALLmovingpartsof thedoor.
10. Placeentrapmentwarninglabel onwall next to garagedoor control.
11. Placemanualrelease/safety reversetest labelin plain viewon inside of garagedoor.
12. Uponcompletionof installation, t estsafetyreversal s ystem.Door MUSTreverseon contact
witha 1-1/2"(3.8 cm)high object(or a 2x4 laid flat)on thefloor.
13. To avoidSERIOUSPERSONALINJURYor DEATHfromelectrocution, d isconnect A LL
electricpower BEFOREperforming any serviceor maintenance.
14. DONOTenablethe Timer-to-Cloce functionalityifoperatingeitherone-pieceor swinging
garage doors.To beenabled ONLYwhen operatinga sectionaldoor.
