Corona Wires (Transfer corona wire and charge
corona wire)
Clean the wires by following the pro-
cedures below.
If you do not clean the wires, white
streaks appear on copies or image
density becomes uneven.
R Caution: When cleaning co-
rona wires, do not
touch the fusing sec-
tion because it could
be very hot.
Note: When you clean the corona
wires, be careful not to touch
the blue material (OPC).

Open the top unit.
To stop the top unit from springing
up, keep one hand on it while
opening it.

Take out the small tool for
cleaning the corona wires from
inside of the copier.
