Mirror
Clean the mirror as explained below.
R Caution: When cleaning mir-
ror, do not touch the
fusing section be-
cause it could be
very hot.
Note: When you clean the mirror,
be careful not to touch the
blue material (OPC).

Open the top unit.
To stop the top unit from springing
up, keep one hand on it while
opening it.

Take out the small tool for
cleaning the mirror from inside
of the copier.

Set the cleaning tool in the mir-
ror guide as shown in the illus-
tration at right.
Note: Be sure to insert the cleaning
tool as shown in the illustra-
tion. If you set the tool in the
wrong direction, the mirror
may be damaged.
