8-6 Troubleshooting
On-screen message
Multiple Single-bit ECC errors were detected during
the previous boot of the controller. DIMM on the
controller needs replacement.
If you continue, data corruption can occur.
Press 'X' to continue or else power off the system
and replace the DIMM module and reboot. If you
have replaced the DIMM please press 'X' to
continue.
Single-bit overflow ECC errors were detected during
the previous boot of the controller. DIMM on the
controller needs replacement.
If you continue, data corruption can occur.
Press 'X' to continue or else power off the system
and replace the DIMM module and reboot. If you
have replaced the DIMM please press 'X' to
continue.

Lamps

The Storage and I/O Blade, the drive carrier (hard disk drive), and the Blade Enclosure include
lamps to indicate the device status by a variety of colors and display patterns. See Chapter 2 for
locations of lamps and their indications.

Error Messages on Virtual LCD

The virtual LCD displays the error occurred during operation or DC OFF (AC power is being on).
The following table lists indications on virtual LCD, descriptions, and actions to take.
The Web console of the Blade Enclosure displays the status of the managed Storage and I/O Blade
on virtual LCD (16 digits x 2 lines). Refer to the User's Guide of EM card for how to use Web
console.
IMPORTANT:
Take a note on the messages displayed on virtual LCD before
consulting with your service representative. Alarm messages are
useful information for maintenance.
IPMI information is also useful for maintenance. Refer to the User's
Guide of CPU blade for how to collect IMPI information.
