Problems with N8403-018 FibreChannel Controller

The names of the FibreChannel Controllers may appear with different names on Device
Manager:
→ Refer to the User's Guide of your CPU Blade for details.

COLLECTING EVENT LOG

If an error occurs on the CPU blade and Storage and I/O Blade, you can collect the log of various
events to acquire necessary information.
For how to collect event log, refer to the User's Guide of CPU Blade.
IMPORTANT:
Consult with your service representative before collecting event
logs.
Restarting the system due to an error may display a message
indicating insufficient virtual memory. Ignore this message and
proceed. Restarting the system may result in collecting improper
data.

MAINTENANCE TOOLS

The Maintenance Tools is used for preventive maintenance, error analysis of this product.
Refer to the User's Guide of CPU Blade for how to use Maintenance Tools.

Function of Maintenance Tools

The following functions can be executed for the Storage and I/O Blade in the Maintenance Tools.
Test and diagnostics
Execute various tests on the CPU blade to check if the CPU blade works normally and if
the connection between the CPU blade, Storage and I/O Blade, and additional board is
normal.
After the Test and diagnostics is executed, a system check program assigned to each CPU
Blade starts.
