ERROR MESSAGES

If an error occurs in the Tape Blade, an error message appears on the display unit.

POST Error Messages

Powering on the CPU blade automatically starts the self-diagnostic program, POST (Power On
Self-Test). When the POST detects any error, it displays an error message and its measure on the
display unit.
Refer to the User's Guide of your CPU blade for POST error messages.

have changed, Reconfiguration
is suggested!

Lamps

The Tape Blade and the Blade Enclosure include lamps to indicate the device status by a variety of
colors and display patterns. See Chapter 2 for locations of lamps and their indications.

Error Messages on Virtual LCD

The virtual LCD displays the error occurred during operation or DC OFF (AC power is being on).
The following table lists indications on virtual LCD, descriptions, and actions to take.
The Web console of the Blade Enclosure displays the status of the managed Tape Blade on virtual
LCD (16 digits x 2 lines). Refer to the User's Guide of EM card for how to use Web console.
IMPORTANT:
Take a note on the messages displayed on virtual LCD before
consulting with your service representative. Alarm messages are
useful information for maintenance.
IPMI information is also useful for maintenance. Refer to the User's
Guide of CPU blade for how to collect IMPI information.
Meaning
If the Tape Blade is connected
to the CPU Blade which
includes the SAS controller,
this message may appear on
the POST. However, it does
not affect operation.
