Some of the following conventions are omitted in our manuals when they are not used.

Elaborates specific items or references other information.
Within some tables, general notes apply to the entire table
and numbered notes apply to specific items.
Calls attention to important instructions or information.
Indicates entry of a string of text.
Instructs the user to choose a menu item or dialog box
button on the screen.
Represents an icon button on the feature toolbar. When you
click on this icon, it performs the same function as the step.
Means "through." Example: 350 ~ 640 Hz frequency range.
Grey words within the printed text denote cross-references.
