Installing Drive Enclosures
Optional drive enclosures can be installed while the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is run-
ning without affecting the system.
This section explains how to install optional drive enclosures.
5.2.1
Installation Rules for Drive Enclosures
Up to nine drive enclosures can be installed in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system. 3.5" type
drive enclosures and 2.5" type drive enclosures can be installed in the ETERNUS DX Disk
storage system together.
In this case, the maximum number of drives allowed determines the maximum number of drive
enclosures that may be installed.
