Route Redistribution Settings

Route redistribution allows routers on the network − that are running different routing protocols − to exchange routing
information. This is accomplished by comparing the routes stored in the various routers' routing tables and assigning
appropriate metrics. This information is then exchanged among the various routers according to the individual routers
current routing protocol. The DGS-3312SR can redistribute routing information between the OSPF and RIP routing
protocols to all routers on the network that are running OSPF or RIP. Routing information entered into the Static Routing
Table on the local DGS-3312SRs Switch is also redistributed.
To create a new route redistribution criteria, select the Dest Protocol (destination protocol) and Src Protocol (source
protocol) from the drop-down menus, choose the metric Type and enter a Metric value. Click on the Add/Modify button
