catalyst add window

Description of Command Function
This command adds a bandwidth window to an object store container. Once the bandwidth
window is added, data transfer to and from the object store container will be constrained as
defined by the bandwidth window. More than one bandwidth window can be added to an object
store container. If multiple windows are active at a given time, the data transfer will be limited to
the lowest value defined by all the windows.

Command Object Requirements
The following objects listed below are required in the command entry after "catalyst add window".
SETX – This defines the service set which contains the object store container to which the
bandwidth window is added. This object is required in the command entry when used on
multi-node StoreOnce appliances. SETX is a label which uniquely defines the service set. X is
a numeric index. The command "system show sets" can be used to obtain a detailed listing
of service sets within the appliance. Refer to section 3.4.22 for details.
OBJECT – This defines the object store container to which the bandwidth window is added.
OBJECT is a text string label uniquely defining the object store container. The command
"catalyst show" can be used to obtain a detailed listing of object store containers within the
appliance. Refer to section 3.4.14 for details.
WINX – This object is not part of the command entry. It is a unique label defining the bandwidth
window. This label is created during command execution. X represents a numeric index. This
label is used to define the bandwidth window when required by commands such as "catalyst
delete window" or "catalyst modify window". Refer to section 3.4.7 or 3.4.1 1 for details.
Command Parameter Requirements
The following parameters may exist in the command entry following the objects.
bw – This parameter is required. It is the bandwidth which defines the rate to which data
transfer must be limited. The parameter consists of the letters "bw" followed by an integer
defining the transfer rate limit in MB/s. If this parameter is not included in the command entry,
a transfer rate limit of 0 MB/s is used by default. In other words, the default is a "blackout"
period during which no data transfer can occur.
start-day – This parameter defines the day on which the bandwidth window begins. This
parameter is required in the command entry. It consists of the text "start-day" followed by a
word defining the day of the week at which the bandwidth window begins. The words may
be Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sun.
start time – This parameter defines the time at which the bandwidth window begins. It is
required. It consists of the text "start-time" followed by a time displayed in 24 hour format
hh:mm where hh represents the hours and mm represent the minutes. If this parameter is not
included in the command entry, a time of 00:00 is used by default. In other words, the
bandwidth window begins at the start of the day defined by the "start-day" parameter.
stop-day – This parameter defines the day on which the bandwidth window ends. This
parameter is required in the command entry. It consists of the text "stop-day" followed by a
catalyst add window
